I came to Laos in December 2004, straight from sunny but terribly cold Bhutan. It was certainly a bit of a shock! The first few months were sometimes difficult, but mainly because I was missing my latest home so much. I discovered the country and its people slowly and enjoyed my time in this lovely and incredibly laid back country where the motto is "bo-pey-nyang" (no problem). I left Laos in December 2006.
