When I first arrived in Bhutan in November 2000, I only had a vague idea of what I would find. When I left the country four years later it was like leaving home.
For months afterwards I experienced the longing for "home" like never before in my life. Since then I went back once and it was just like I had never left. The Bhutanese can make you feel that way...
